Bookings & Campground
 

  • Full payment to cover the total cost of your booking must be made at the time of booking.  We accept EFTPOS, Mastercard or Visa and credit card transaction fees will apply.
  • Once payment has been made, our Cancellation Policy will come into effect.  Any booking cancelled within 72 hours of arrival is non-refundable.
  • For bookings cancelled more than 72 hours before arrival we will charge a $20 administration fee and refund the balance
  • If we need to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, you will be given a full refund, but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation. 
  • At the time of check-in, any amount outstanding for your accommodation will be charged.   We will take your credit/debit card details and this authorises the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us.   You may incur an additional charge for cleaning or repairing a camp site if left unreasonably dirty or left unfit for use by the next guests.
  • No animals of any kind are permitted in the Campground
  • Check in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival and checkout is by 10.00am .
  • There is no access to Djarindjin Community (including the Store) without prior written approval being obtained.
  • Access to the Djarindjin beach is restricted.  You must not travel to the beach unless you have been provided with approval from Djarindjin Aboriginal Corporation or an appropriate Traditional Owner or Elder.
  • Guests are requested to always conduct themselves appropriately and to comply with any procedures and/or requests with regard to their conduct and to show respect for the property of Djarindjin, its employees and other guests.
  • For the comfort of all guests, we advise there is a policy of “Quiet after 9pm” and excessive noise, the determination of which is at our absolute discretion, will not be tolerated.
  • A maximum number of guests applies to each site – this is 6 for a powered site and 4 for an unpowered site.  This number must not be exceeded. The registered occupant, as listed in the campground register, must be 18 years of age or older and is responsible for the activities at his/her site.
  • Campfires are permitted at the communal fire pit only.   No camp fires, fire buckets or coal fires at individual camp sites.  Collecting fire wood from within the site is prohibited.  The communal fire pit is for the enjoyment of all guests staying at the campground.
  • Please do not smoke in or around the central facilities.
  • Guests are requested to place all rubbish into the bins provided.
  • Please note that there is no public dump point on the Peninsula. Guests should be prepared to transport black waste back to Broome for disposal.
  • We have the right to alter prices at any time. However, prices stated on the booking confirmation will be honoured.  The fee includes use of the camp kitchen/bbq area, communal fire pit and ablution facilities.
  • Djarindjin Campground takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal items.  Please lock up accommodation, vehicles, bikes etc. and remove any valuables from vehicles.

 

 

COVID CANCELLATION POLICY
 

  • Djarindjin Campground will only accept bookings from travellers that will be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (or have an approved medical exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register) by the date of arrival.
  • You will be required to show proof of vaccination (or approved medical exemption) prior to entering the campground.

  • If you do not comply with the requirement to provide proof of vaccination, we reserve the right to decline or cancel your booking or refuse entry to the campground, at our absolute discretion.
  • If you have tested positive for Covid-19 or are otherwise required to self-isolate by the WA Department of Health, you must notify us at the earliest opportunity. Any customers who are subject to self-isolation requirements will not be permitted to enter the campground.
  • If you present with an elevated temperature or other symptoms of Covid-19, we may in our absolute discretion:
  • Refuse entry to the campground
  • Request that you wear a face mask or other protective equipment
  • Request that you undertake a Rapid Antigen Test
  • Request that you leave the campground at the earliest possible and safest opportunity.
  • If you are unable to complete your stay at the campground because of self-isolation requirements or presenting with symptoms of Covid-19, you may choose between receiving credit for the unused portion of your stay, or receiving a refund for the unused portion of your stay. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking such as visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights or accommodation.
  • Where you are required to cancel due to travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, you can apply for a refund or credit note (to be used at a later time).  We reserve the right to withhold some monies to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given.
